Going Deeper
Last night I was asked the question, “Where did we miss the mark?” in the midst of a conversation about the manifested presence of God. For a moment it stopped me in my tracks. My response was this, “personally I was raised in a church background that proved to me if the worship didn’t last 1+ hours or people weren’t called to the altar and slain in the spirit then we didn’t experience the manifestation of His presence.” But over the last year God has been resetting my mindset to this old belief system.
God has been revealing to me deeper and deeper levels of what it means to be kingdom minded and what it means to walk continuously as a citizen of the Kingdom of God. (*see previous blogs) In the midst of this deeper revelation I am finding myself in what feels like a whirlwind of constant thought, constant question and constant desire to just be who He created me to be. This isn’t a bad whirlwind, but it is a cleansing whirlwind. I want to be a walking, talking manifestor of His Kingdom character.
The Word tells us in Matt. 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Jesus was talking to the crowd about the anxieties of the world, the things the world seeks after, the works of the flesh. He was telling those around Him when you seek the Kingdom first and get an understanding of the righteousness of God, then all you need will be there when you need it. The peace you need, the joy you need, the revelation of your righteousness you need… it’s all found in seeking first the Kingdom. How? Because I believe when we truly grasp ahold of the kingdom culture, the kingdom mindset then we will be so in tune with our Father that we will go straight to Him with the issue and He will come straight back to us with a strategy to get what we need to continue in His purpose for our lives. If we are pursuing Him with a pure heart, He will make sure we are taken care of… but we also have to understand His righteousness and walk in His wisdom.
Where does all of this begin? How do we set out and begin to allow God to bring that mindset shift in our lives?
We surrender to Him! I truly believe that we have to come to a place in our lives that all we want is Him. That’s not an easy place to be because when we get there, He will begin to remove the things we place before Him. He will begin to convict us of things that we should or should not be doing. He will strip the “idols” from our lives because to be undone by Him is to die to flesh and live fully in the spirit. To live with a kingdom mindset!
John 12:25 tells us “Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” We need to come to a place where we realize it is no longer about us but about them, the world, the lost, the broken, the bound, the hurt!
We are in a major shift in the body of Christ, right now, not a year from now or a month from now, but right now! God is shifting His body back to His mandate, HIS MANDATE, not mans… His mandate is His Kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven! That is HIS MANDATE and mans has been ‘let’s just gather together, make everyone comfortable, sugar coat the word so it goes down smoother and make sure to keep everyone happy… even if that means compromise and conforming to the world’s culture’. NO! That is NOT God’s heart! We have lost the Kingdom mindset through this kind of “doing church” … yes, I said it… It’s called “doing church” not being the church!
When the Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come He quickly told them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, they won’t say ‘Hey look, here it is!’ No! Indeed, the kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU!”
Why are we striving so hard to “do” church? Why are we striving so hard to make His presence manifest? Why are we seeking mans directions instead of Gods?
These are the questions that have been whirling through my heart over the last several weeks.
When I asked God this morning “Where did we miss the mark?” When did we begin to look at the manifested presence of God as ‘works’ that we force ourselves into doing? When did it become about what we see with our eyes instead of what we KNOW in our hearts… the revelation of Him?
This is what He said, “We missed the mark when we stopped teaching the fullness of the Kingdom of God… all that it encompasses because when we walk in the fullness of Him, then all the manifestations of Jesus Christ (all that He did) will just begin to happen. They will “follow” us!”
Jesus said numerous times in His life “I do what I see the Father do and I say what I hear the Father say.” Point blank… He carried the Kingdom of God in Him and He manifested the power, authority and dominion over sickness, disease, death and the grave!
John 14:12 “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and GREATER works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”
Get ahold of the Kingdom culture and get ahold of all you’ve been asking God to do! Take your position child of God! You are the Kings Kid!

Father I ask that you continue to shake our foundations! Shake out all that does not belong in our lives, all that is keeping us from understanding Your Kingdom! Our prayer is that Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! We know Jesus didn’t come to this earth to smooth things over, Jesus came to disrupt all that didn’t belong. Father disrupt the things in our lives that don’t belong! I pray a deeper desire in each of us for more and more revelation of You, deeper levels and more understanding! Father, help us understand what it means to be kingdom minded, shift us and make us into who You created us to be… I declare transformation and breakthrough in Jesus name… Amen
